Cat-Friendly Screening – Terms & Conditions

To ensure a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for both our feline guests and their humans, GSC is committed to maintaining high standards of cat welfare, hygiene and cleanliness throughout this special screening.

1. Ticket Purchase & Admission

• Tickets must be purchased in advance through the official GSC website or mobile application. No walk-in admission will be permitted.
• A one cat, one responsible owner policy applies. Each cat must be accompanied and supervised by its owner throughout the event.
• Each cat must have a designated carrier seat beside its owner, subject to the approved seating arrangement.
• All cats must be healthy, free from visible signs of illness and up to date with age-appropriate vaccinations.
• Cats should be accustomed to travelling in carriers and reasonably comfortable in unfamiliar environments.
• Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission if a cat appears unwell, distressed or unsuitable for the screening environment.

2. Cat Welfare & Comfort

• All cats must remain inside a securely closed, well-ventilated carrier throughout the screening. Cats must not be released or allowed to roam freely inside the auditorium.
• Each cat will be allocated a designated carrier seat beside its owner, fitted with a protective hygiene mat.
• Carriers must remain securely positioned and stable throughout the screening. Where seat placement is unsuitable, GSC staff may direct owners to an alternative designated position.
• Carriers must not obstruct walkways, emergency exits or other guests.
• Owners are encouraged to bring familiar blankets, absorbent pee pads and other comfort items.
• Owners must monitor their cats for signs of distress and may leave the auditorium at any time. Cats showing significant distress must be taken to a quieter area or removed from the screening.
• Interaction between unfamiliar cats should be minimised to prevent unnecessary stress.

3. Hygiene & Cleanliness

Hygiene is of utmost importance, and additional measures will be implemented to maintain a clean and comfortable cinema environment for all guests.

• A dedicated pet cleaning station will be available outside the cinema halls, equipped with appropriate cleaning supplies and designated waste disposal facilities.
• Owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up after their cats and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Cats must arrive in clean carriers, preferably lined with absorbent pee pads.
• A protective and waterproof hygiene mat will be provided beneath each carrier to protect cinema seating.
• Cinema halls will undergo thorough cleaning and sanitization after the cats screening.
• Any accidents or spills must be reported immediately to event staff for proper cleaning.
• Owners are responsible for maintaining their cats' hygiene throughout the event.

4. Special Cinema Environment

To create a more comfortable screening environment for our feline guests:

• Auditorium lighting will be kept brighter than during a conventional movie screening.
• Movie sound levels will be lowered to minimise discomfort from loud audio, subject to GSC's technical assessment.
• Screening capacity will be controlled to provide adequate space between guests and carriers.
• Owners may leave the auditorium at any time if their cats require a break.

5. Mall Access & Pet Strollers

• The event will take place at GSC 163 Velvet, 163 Retail Park, where pet-friendly access is available in designated areas, subject to mall regulations.
• Guests bringing cats must use the designated pet-friendly lift and approved access routes.
• Pet strollers may be used to transport cats to the cinema but must be parked in the designated stroller holding area outside the auditorium, where required.
• Cats must be transferred into securely closed carriers before entering the screening hall.
• All guests must comply with the mall's and GSC's applicable pet policies.

6. Owner Responsibilities

• Owners are responsible for their cats' behaviour, supervision, hygiene and welfare throughout the event.
• Cats must not be left unattended at any time.
• Owners must follow instructions from GSC staff and event organisers regarding safety, hygiene and animal welfare.
• Any damage, injury or hygiene incident must be reported immediately.
• Organisers reserve the right to require a cat and its owner to leave if safety, cleanliness or animal welfare standards cannot be maintained.

7. General Conditions

• Participation is subject to the purchase of valid tickets through GSC's official ticketing channels and compliance with these Terms & Conditions.
• Organisers reserve the right to amend screening arrangements or participation requirements where necessary for safety, hygiene or animal welfare.
• Photography and filming may take place during the event. Any promotional use of identifiable attendees' images will be subject to the applicable registration consent terms.
• All event arrangements are subject to final operational approval by GSC Cinemas and the relevant venue management.
